XanGo's Press Release Sept. 19
“XANGO’s role as a leader is to be part of the solution in this challenging economic environment and to continue to evolve our industry for the good of every distributor we serve. Now is the time for bold strides to cultivate a new generation of direct selling entrepreneurs – to connect with those looking to do something they will enjoy, develop aspiring leaders and empower those seeking a greater sense of fulfillment and security,” said XANGO Founder, Chairman and CEO, Aaron Garrity. “At the same time, we are advancing our social purpose work as a centerpiece of our business to continue serving children and families in need around the world and paving the way for more sustainable products in our industry.”
Along with launching new product lines – Glimpse Luminescence Collection™ featuring Glimpse Repair and Glimpse Brighten, Juni by XANGO®, XANGO 3SIXTY5™ Kids and Precis™ targeted nutrition supplements – XANGO’s other ground-breaking announcements at last week’s Convention include the following.
Cultivating the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs
Garrity noted global economic distress that has produced high underemployment, unemployment and increased numbers of college graduates, former full-time professionals, teachers, laborers and others seeking additional options and business opportunities. “This time of economic hardship is impacting every generation – from Millennials to Boomers – women and men, and families across the communities we reach. If more are looking for independent business opportunities, XANGO wants to be part of the solution.”
“We launched and grew XANGO nearly ten years ago during an economic downturn, and we understand the importance of providing people with options, opportunity and even training and development if that’s what they seek.”
Empowering Women Leaders
Since its founding, XANGO has committed to fostering women leaders, providing training and mentoring and connecting women direct sellers with a network of their peers. In a unique program led by Senior Vice President Beverly Hollister in collaboration with some of the company’s most successful female distributors, women looking to grow their XANGO business are invited to special weekend training and motivation seminars called “Women Building Bridges.” In 2011, thousands of women participated in the United States, Canada, Portugal, Italy, Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Garrity said XANGO will expand this initiative worldwide in 2012.
Garrity said XANGO’s portfolio of natural, toxin-free health and wellness products for parents and children particularly appeal to moms looking to make responsible choices that protect their families’ well-being and the planet.
Advancing XANGO’s Social Purpose
Since its inception, charitable action has been part of XANGO’s DNA, known as XANGO Goodness, with a dedication to partnering with children’s charities and humanitarian organizations to benefit people in need around the world.
Since 2004, XANGO has partnered with Operation Smile to provide more than 1,200 new smiles to children around the world and also supplied about 3.5 million meals to malnourished children and adults around the world through a global XANGO Meal Pack initiative with AmeriCares. “As a global citizen, every community is equally important to XANGO. Leveraging our growth and strength as a global XANGO community to help others in need is crucial to our social purpose.”
Caring for the planet is also important to XANGO. Through XANGO Green, the company works to improve sustainability in the day-to-day business, manufacturing process, distribution systems and even individual employee/distributor carbon footprint.
As part of the XANGO Green launch at Convention, XANGO announced new 100-percent recyclable eco-friendly packaging for its flagship product, XANGO® Juice. This builds on XANGO’s current commitment to eliminate waste by using 100 percent of the mangosteen, even the rind, as well as using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper in print materials. The manufacture of eco-friendly packaging offers significant benefits, including:
• 85 percent less material (than previous bottle)
• 34 percent less energy used
• 64 percent less greenhouse gas emissions
• 408 homes could be powered for a year with the amount of energy saved
• 2,039 metric tons of annual carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions reduced, equivalent to removing 390 cars from the road for one year
Communications Innovation
In a groundbreaking agreement, XANGO has partnered with a leader in live streaming videos to bring the energy, excitement and education of Convention directly home to distributors – wherever their home business may be. The patent-pending, proprietary streaming video technology, called “GO! On Demand,” gives access to more than 15 hours of Convention coverage, including XANGO product announcements, news and featured speakers, available in English, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Portuguese and Italian. XANGO makes all-access passes available at http://ondemand.goxango2011.com through Dec. 31.
While outlining a bold vision for company expansion, Garrity took a moment to express gratitude for his five founding partners and the millions of distributors who have built XANGO into a global powerhouse, “XANGO is the success it is today because of the unified efforts and focus of each individual working to accomplish hers or his dreams through our business, and I’m thankful for my association with each of them.”
